A Note at Photo no. 3000

While it is hard to believe I began this project over eight years ago, the day to day aspect of doing it fell into a pretty reliable groove some time ago.
It gets so I hardly think about it any more. In that time the whole idea of a picture blog has gone from ground-breaking to arty to pretty universal.
Flickr has certainly turned the idea into something pretty great. Maybe I should have transfered this whole thing to their platform years ago. But lost would be whatever quirky charm this may have.

I would like to make this a bit more, well, coherent I guess is the best word. The index is in dredful need of updating and I'd like to make the random
feature more accessable. I'm not sure the architecture allows it, however.

I'm sorry there aren't more portraits here, or any series of black-and-white work. That could change, of course. I am thinking of posting bigger files,
as I've grown slightly dissatisfied with the stature of the pictures, though their content still keeps me interested.

It's funny, if not for this I would not even consider myself a photographer anymore, so I suppose that is its greatest value, for me anyway.
I appreciate too your interest in coming by.
